Jubilee Park was officially opened on 10 August 2023 including the following equipment selected by the community:
- Stepper Bridge
- Fixed Hanging Rings
- Scaling Wall
- Wave Bridge
- 1500 Fibreglass Slide
- Inclined Net Bridge

At Council, we are responsible for providing quality infrastructure that enhances the environment in which we live, work and play.
It’s part of our Council Plan 2021-25 and it is something we value for our communities.
With the news that some of the equipment in Avenel’s Jubilee Park needs to be updated to current regulations, we are calling on the community to help us select what equipment they would like to see in the new play space so it is a place children can enjoy for many years to come.
The new equipment will include swings, including an all-abilities swing, net swing, flying fox and two new play structure made up of many different elements.
We need your help to choose six of those elements – all you need to do is select your preferred piece of equipment for each element.
The Infinity Climber, Carousel, Climbing Frame and Log Roll are all remaining at the play space, however, the current swings sets, play structure, slide, galvanised steel play unit and spring rocker horses must be removed as they are no longer safe to play on.
Our children are an important part of our future. Their health and wellbeing is of utmost important.
We want to ensure our younger generations value the amazing environment in which we live.
