Draft Budget

Strathbogie Shire Council has released the Draft 2024−25 Budget and fees and charges for public feedback.

The draft budget is a significant document for Council as it sets the organisation’s fees and charges for the next year, along with the capital works program and the money spent on community services and resources to deliver these services.

This year's Draft Budget provides $11.977 million for our capital works program, together with $2.972 million carried forward from 2023−24. This includes $5.79 million on roads, $746,000 for bridges, $344,000 for footpaths and cycleways, $1.015 million for recreation, leisure and community facilities and $1.16 million for parks, open spaces and streetscapes.

Submissions on the 2024-25 Draft Budget must be received by 5pm on Friday, May 24, 2024.

Draft Council Plan Update

The Strathbogie Council Plan is updated each year and the Draft 2024-25 Action Plan is now open for public feedback.

This is the final year of the current 2021-25 Council Plan prior to a new plan being developed following the October 2024 Local Government Elections.

The 2021-25 Council Plan is the key strategic document governing allocation of human and financial resources at Council and outlines the actions and strategies used to achieve our Community Vision.

The update includes the development of the Euroa Railway Precinct Master Plan, adoption of the Urban Growth and Land Use strategies and establishing a significant tree register − and many others.

The updated draft action plan aligns directly with the funding priorities and key initiatives in the draft 2024-25 budget.

Submissions on the 2024-25 Draft Council Plan Update must be received by 5pm on Friday, May 24, 2024.
