The Strathbogie Workforce Plan 2021-22 to 2025-26 is a powerful instrument which enables the Strathbogie Shire Council to clearly define its support for the capacity and capability building of the workforce and to project forward regarding the workforce requirements that will be needed in future years. The Workforce Plan also reiterates the principles and values by which the workforce will operate and engage both internally and externally.

This Workforce Plan sets out the organisational structure and projected staffing requirements to meet Council’s service delivery commitments to the community, as defined by the Council Plan 2021-25, for the next 4 years.

The plan covers the full range of Council’s activities but will also place an emphasis on those areas where shortages exist or are likely to occur; on areas where new skills and capacity are required; and will include measures to promote gender equality, diversity and inclusiveness.

This overarching document will provide the foundation on which Council will develop its staff, and recruit for specific needs of the organisation in a way that reflects our community’s needs while meeting our legislative obligations.
