2023 Team Strathbogie Awards nominations are open!

We’re excited to once again be running these highly prestigious awards, recognising excellence at Strathbogie Shire Council.
We might be small, but we’re batting way above our average!

There are eight categories outlined below. Nominations can be for an individual or a team.

The process is simple – just use the form below to make your nomination.

Nominations will close at 5pm on Friday, November 24.

Driving Value and Innovation recognises a team or individual who demonstrates achievement above and beyond the expected standard, for example by making significant savings within an operational spend or creative and achievable ideas for saving money that will benefit our community.

Health and Safety recognises a team or individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the health and wellbeing of all at Strathbogie Shire Council, who consistently consider the impact on health and safety when making decisions or contributes ideas and innovations to improve health and safety outcomes.

The ideal Health and Safety nominee demonstrates achievement above and beyond the expected standard, for example by taking an active role in, and being a strong advocate of health and safety, making an extra effort to improve or correct a specific aspect of safety and wellbeing in the workplace, or suggesting or developing initiatives that will benefit the environment and Strathbogie Shire Council.

Continuous Improvement recognises a team or individual who continually strives to make Strathbogie Shire Council a high-performing organisation or contributes ideas and innovations to achieve better outcomes.

The ideal Continuous Improvement nominee demonstrates achievement above and beyond the expected standard, for example by suggesting or developing new methods to increase productivity and quality, and save time, effort and money, implementing process improvements or actions to deliver services more efficiently, integrating information or systems for delivering services more efficiently, or challenging the status quo and contributing ideas and innovations which achieve better outcomes.

Leading the Way recognises a team or individual who has brought out the best in others, delivering real results and motivating and inspiring people along the way.

The ideal Leading the Way nominee is not necessarily a team leader or supervisor. They demonstrate achievement above and beyond the expected standard, for example by empowering people to take action and contribute to Strathbogie Shire Council's success, fostering team spirit in a time of change, enhancing Council's environment through positive contribution as a leader or driving industry excellence and performance.

Outstanding Contribution recognises a team or individual who performs their job to the highest standard day in and day out; an overall 'rock solid' contributor to our organisation.

The ideal Outstanding Contribution nominee demonstrates achievement above and beyond the expected standard, for example by completing tasks thoroughly and thoughtfully, working diligently to help complete critical projects or demonstrating extensive knowledge and competence in the work they perform.

Partnering to Deliver Together recognises a team which has gone above and beyond to deliver an outcome that benefits our customers, stakeholders and the wider business.

The ideal Partnering to Deliver Together nominee demonstrates achievement over and above the expected standard, for example by being team players and encouraging team work in others, putting in extra effort, or handling a heavier workload to deliver something great, actively engaging and fostering relationships, identifying mutually beneficial projects and outcomes or volunteering for special projects.

Quiet Achiever recognises a team or individual who makes a significant contribution to our organisation that may otherwise go unnoticed.

The ideal Quiet Achiever nominee demonstrates achievement above and beyond the expected standard but doesn't seek or expect anything in return. They complete tasks thoroughly and thoughtfully, work diligently to help complete critical projects while demonstrating extensive knowledge and competence in the work they perform.

Thinking Community First recognises a team or individual who consistently strives to improve our community's (internal or external) overall satisfaction.

The ideal Thinking Community first nominee demonstrates achievement above and beyond the expected standard, for example by consistently interacting positively and optimistically with community members, taking action to directly improve community satisfaction and actively engaging and fostering relationships.
