Strathbogie Shire Council Community Leadership Program

Program Overview

The Community Leadership Program is open to anyone with an interest in leadership.

Strathbogie Shire Council invites emerging and existing leaders to apply for the 2025 Community Leadership Program. This free opportunity is designed to help you build confidence, strengthen your leadership skills, and connect with a network of community-minded individuals—no prior experience needed!

Participants will learn practical skills in governance, strategy, policy, public speaking, and community engagement. Plus, valuable knowledge about leading through emergency events and strengthening local resilience.

The program supports anyone in a leadership role within a community group or looking to step into a leadership role. Leadership values such as integrity, service, inclusion, accountability, and collaboration are at the core of the learning experience.

No matter your background, if you care about making a difference, this program is for you.

Running from October to December 2025, this program includes six in-person workshops for a small group of up to 20 participants. The same group will journey through all sessions together from October to December 2025, building strong connections and shared experiences.

At the end of the program, we’ll come together for a graduation celebration, where participants can reflect on their journey, share what they’ve learned, and celebrate the experience.

Your Commitment

Each session has been thoughtfully designed to:
